I was raised on stories of the Ontario landscape, with its twisted pines, granite rocks, and lakes where loons call in the resin-scented days and wolves howl beneath the clear skies at night. Food is what fuels us. We gather around tables to celebrate and comfort, to connect and reconnect, and sometimes to simply eat and drink. Vulnerable, beautiful, curves of sand and coral rock make up the Marshall Islands. Threatened by the rising seas associated with climate change, these islands are breathtaking and heartbreaking. I had the pleasure and honour of visiting the RMI in 2010 to work on a piece about climate change in the country. These images are a result of my visit. India: beautiful, vibrant, chaotic. I have travelled across the north and west of India, and these photographs are some of my favourite from my journeys there. Morocco captured my imagination long ago; it was only a handful of years ago that I had a chance for a flying visit to Fez and the nearby city of Sefrou. It was an amazing visit, full of new sights and sounds and tastes and friendships. I think often of going back. Wildlife has always fascinated me: as a child I was torn between zoology and art. Now, I am lucky to sometimes capture the magic of the animal kingdom through my lens.
