Adelaide is, in many ways, my hometown, and no matter how far I travel, I'm drawn to the beaches and the hills, the market, and the old Australian architecture.

Australia's many landscapes fascinate me. Born in the arid near-desert of Adelaide, the rainforest that cloaks the east coast of the country is, to me, exotic and lush. My photographs of the rainforest and waterfalls of Dorrigo National Park capture the dense, jungle greens, the blue skies and near-tropical clouds.

The Fleurieu Peninsula, a stone's throw from Adelaide, is breathtaking coastlines and sunburnt hills, green vines of vineyards. Little sandy coves and rocky headlands make for stunning landscapes and sea-scapes. When I visit, I often point my camera at the surf, making long exposures of where the waves meet the rocks and the sand.

Off the tip of the Fleurieu Peninsula lies the wild coasts and bushland of Kangaroo Island. Heavily protected as parks, the island is famous for its wildlife, and the coastline for its varied geology. Carrying my camera with me, my visits have been only brief glimpses into the beautiful landscape and bright, wild ocean.

Limestone crumbles where it meets the waves of the Southern Ocean, creating rugged cliffs against which the waves break, and smooth sand beaches tucked between reefs and rocky headlands. I spend my childhood holidays in Robe, and return to the Limestone Coast when I can with my camera to capture the ever-changing landscape.

As a landscape photographer, the ocean is one of my passions. From calm, reflective sunsets, to wind-whipped waves that break white on rugged rocks, and beaches under stars at night, my gallery of South Australian seascapes shows the variety of the coastline and its moods.

Australia's southern-most state, I've hiked and photographed the coastline and the stunning wilderness of Cradle Mountain–Lake St Clair National Park.

The Barossa Valley is one of South Australia's best (and best-known) wine regions. Rolling hills make for beautiful scenery, the cellar doors at the various vineyards are beautiful, and the wine superb.

The Mighty Murray meanders towards it end in South Australia, much reduced by the pressures of irrigation but still the beautiful liquid artery of this arid state.
