About Skye Hohmann Photography
Geography has always fascinated me. The world around us defines us. I am too much a nomad to know where I’m from, but I’ve been formed by visions of mountains and rough oceans, rolling hills, wild woods and blue horizons so wide you lose yourself in them.
Ever since childhood I have longed for self-expression. I experimented with poetry and painting, but found my feet in prose, journalism, and photography.
I’m interested in capturing what is essential in a place. I aim to create stunning yet honest travel imagery with emotional impact and a social conscience. Many of my landscape and travel photographs are now for sale as prints, either in open or limited editions. I write travel stories and articles documenting social and environmental issues.
I make landscapes in words and pictures.
